On Wednesday we had 10 hikers come out the day before Thanksgiving to hike in the Oredson Todd Woods. There was a fog down in the valley, but when we got to the trailhead we discovered the beautiful blue sky.
We started along the Oredson Todd Woods trail then to the Mike Uhtoff Trail and eventually came to the White Rabbit Upper Trailhead and had a snack. We spoke to a woman who had seen a couple of bears so she turned around. She was happy to see people on the trail. She took our group photo for us. We headed back along the White Rabbit trail and could see that most of the fog was gone. We could also see some of the surrounding mountains with snow on top.
I stopped to take a photo and finished up the hike at the back of the group. I noticed we were no longer on the intended route but we finished up on the road and back to the cars. We had hiked a little less than 5 miles and gained 1570 feet of elevation.
