February 5: Buck Prarie I - Fawn Hollow Loop Hike Canceled Weather
TH: Take DIM about 18.5 miles to the Buck Prairie I Sno-Park. Sno-Park Permit Required; passengers should help pay for it. EDT: 35 minutes. Description: Head east on snow covered Buck Prairie Road past the conveniences to the loop that connects with Buck Prairie II. Distance: 5 miles. Elevation gain 600 feet. Weather forecast. February 12: East Applegate Ridge
TH: Continue thru Jacksonville on Highway 238 past Milepost 29 and Forest Creek Road (on the right) for another 1/2 mile to a small sign on the left "East Applegate Ridge Trail" near 5091 Highway 238 for the TH parking area. EDT: 40 minutes. We will do an up and back of 10.5 miles with about 1,900' gain. Exceptional views. Weather forecast. RT mileage: 70 miles.
